CURZON NEWS

Psalm 19 v 1 The heavens declare the glory of God

Dear Parents,

Parents’ consultations

It was lovely to see so many of you at the Parents’ evenings this week. Teachers do appreciate the opportunity to touch base with parents about their child’s work and progress. Do take to heart any suggestions that your child’s class teacher suggested you can be doing with your child at home as part of our three way partnership in securing the best possible progress for your child/ren. If you were not able to attend, please make an appointment for after half term.

House point totals

Congratulations to Green House who won the first half term’s grand total of house points.

Green House            681 tokens

Yellow House           571 tokens

Blue House              567 tokens

Rockets and Kindness Shield

Congratulations to the following children: Megan, Zaria, Sophie, Cara, Savian, Archie, Alex and Yasmin.

Holy Trinity’s Harvest Service

It was great to have some Curzon pupils singing at Captain Peter’s Harvest Service last Sunday. Many thanks to the families for coming – it’s so lovely to have the church and school come together in this way. Watch out for any future school and church together events.

Remembrance Day

Poppies will be on sale as usual in the playground after half term.  As is our custom, we will have a Remembrance assembly for the children on Friday 9 November in the morning followed by a minute’s silence. It’s lovely if the children can wear a poppy for this.

Thank you from Wycombe Homeless connection

Wycombe Homeless have asked us to pass on their gratitude for the Harvest Festival food donations.

‘Thank you for thinking of Wycombe Homeless Connection, we appreciate your kindness in trying to make a difference’

Mrs Steere’s exciting news

We are thrilled to announce Mrs Steere is expecting a baby.  Plans currently are that she will begin her maternity leave next Easter returning the following year.
