Ofsted Inspections
We have been rated a Good school at every Ofsted inspection since 2012.
Ofsted no longer issues single-word judgements on schools, but our most recent inspection, in April 2025, found that the standards that saw us rated Good in 2017 have been maintained.
The inspection found:
- The school is a place where academic achievement and personal development are equally essential to pupils' well-being.
- Pupils are fiercely proud of their school.
- Pupils show excellent behaviour and attitudes to their learning.
- These learning behaviours start in the early years. Effective and consistently applied routines help children to settle quickly and make friends.
- Building on this strong foundation, pupils across the school reach their teachers' high expectations.
- Pupils feel safe at school because they trust the adults who provide very high levels of care and support.
- The school's ambitious curriculum is well planned with a clear intent to provide high quality learning while prominently promoting pupils' personal development.
- Reading has significant prominence in the curriculum. From the Reception Year, phonics is taught with precision.
- The school's provision for pupils' personal development is excellent.
- Enrichment opportunities are mapped in great detail across the curriculum.
- Pupils act as advocates for one another, celebrating difference and recognising the achievements of their friends.
- Pupils are tolerant, accepting, confident and compassionate.
